to our Girls Regional Tournament game on Thursday. If we do
move them, hopefully they will just be moved to an earlier
time on that day, not to a totally different day.
THE JR. HIGH GAMES TODAY ARE IN THE NEW GYM AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN OXFORD JUNCTION. PLAYERS SHOULD LET THEIR PARENTS AND OTHERS WHO THEY KNOW ARE GOING TO THE GAME KNOW.

Announcement: Senior pages are being worked on; be sure to get your picture to the publications staff NOW. We also need your informational Senior Profile sheets with picture for the Spear. We have only five more Spears to do and will put only 3-4 seniors in at a time. Don't be left out of the yearbook or the Spear--it's your time to be featured for posterity.
HS Choir and Band that still need to turn in $5 need to do so by Thursday (today).
Come eat at the Preston Performing Arts Annual Soup Supper - Friday, February 3rd, 2012 4:30-7:30 at the Preston High School Library. There is no school that day but there is a home varsity basketball game vs. Marquette. Sandwiches, dessert and drink included. Adults pay $6, students 5-12 years old pay $4, kids under 5 are free.
The Maquoketa Kiwanis Club teaming with Club Hope (student volunteers) are announcing ROUND TWO for the Dress Exchange on Sat., February 4th. Poster with details is on the bulletin board across from the office.
The PPAB, FFA and Lions Club are having a benefit for Justine Ehlers on March 4th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church from 7:00-1:00. It will be a pancake breakfast, bake sale and silent auction. There will also be a raffle and other items prior to the benefit.
Hearing screening for new students in the High School will be done on February 9th beginning at 8:45 in the home ec. room. We will get each student as needed. Each student will be gone about 10 minutes.
Information is available on a babysitting class being offered by Iowa State University Extension on February 3rd and advanced class on February 20th at the Maquoketa Community Center. Registration forms (pink forms) are on the high school office counter. Please pick up if you are interested.
Clinton Community College will be hosting the annual Career Day on Thursday, March 15th.
Iowa State University is having an informational meeting for the Iron Chef Culinary Club of Jackson County on February 5th at the Jackson Co. Courthouse. Informational sheets/membership forms are on the office counter.
The computer lab will be open in the evenings for student use from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the school day, please inform the office if you plan to come to the computer lab that evening.
